How to Request Posters, Billboards & Banners

Even though we now live in the digital era, the print design still plays a big role in the marketing and advertising context of your business, which allows you to efficiently communicate your message to your target market. Using posters, billboards, and banners inside and outside businesses is a standard practice for most companies.

Below is our latest guide, some tips & tricks, and the steps we take to ensure your graphics are efficiently designed.๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

1. Types of graphics

  • Poster ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป it's used for promoting an idea, product, service, or event. It usually includes both text and graphic elements or pictures, in an eye-catching and informative manner.ย
  • Billboard ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป it's a big outdoor advertising tool, commonly found in high-traffic areas such as alongside highways and busy roads, showing large advertisements to passing pedestrians and drivers.
  • Banner ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป it's a powerful marketing tool, used both indoor and outdoor for different purposes, from business promotions to events and gatherings.ย

2. Usage, copy, size, and formatย

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Where will you use the requested graphics?
Do you need it for print (indoor and outdoor advertising) or for the web (e-mail, marketing campaigns, etc.)? Maybe you're looking for graphics that can work across multiple formats. Always mention these details to your designer, this helps give us an idea of the scale of the task and how to best approach it.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป What size and format do you need?
What size do you need it to be and what file formats do you need us to provide? This information is essential to know from the beginning of the project so that no time is wasted on incorrect formats.ย

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป What's the exact copy you want to include?
Title, subtitle, contact, CTA, we need to have access to your final content. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป
Before you submit the brief to your designer you need to mention also what graphics or images you want to show. Once you have a solid plan for what your banner/billboard/poster should contain, your designer can start thinking about the concept.

๐Ÿ’กTips & Tricks! Does your design project require custom illustrations/icons?
If the answer is yes, don't forget to mention in the brief all details related, so that an illustrator along with a graphics designer can be assigned to your project right from the start, avoiding delays.ย

3. Inspirationย

What other similar graphic concepts do you like and why? You can upload them as attachments, share them as links or even save them and select them as your brand profile.
